We are very excited to announce the commencement of our 2024 Summer Fellowship Program. This year, we are welcoming six talented fellows from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their unique perspectives and skillets to AERL.
The Fellows will work on projects using AERL's open-access datasets and computational resources. Research topics include the causes and consequences of work-from-home, the effects of bank failure on small firms and local communities, as well as the impact of capital-embodied innovation on firm dynamics.
The 2024 cohort represents a mix of backgrounds, from traditional economics to to geospatial analytics. This interdisciplinary approach reflects the evolving nature of economic research and AERL's commitment to fostering innovation at the intersection of technology and economics. Throughout the program, fellows will benefit from trainings, workshops, and guest lectures from leading academics.
AERL will publish updates on the Fellows' progress and research findings on its website throughout the summer. The program aims to advance the fellows' skills and contribute new insights to applied economics research.
