Pauline Bucher
Pauline is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Oxford. At the CEP, she works on combining LinkedIn job postings data with labour panel data to study the impact of “Work From Home” on female participation. In general, she is interested in energy markets, Machine Learning/Bayesian methods and labour economics.
Luca Barbato
Luca is a PhD candidate in Economics and Management at the London School of Economics (LSE). At the AEAI Lab within the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP), he works on the Machinery of Progress dataset project. Luca's research focuses on applied microeconomics, with particular interests in Labour and Organisational Economics, and issues surrounding automation.
David Cai
David is an MRes/PhD student in Economics and Management at LSE. He holds a BA in Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University and studied Philosophy at Trinity College, Cambridge as an Abraham-Broad Scholar. Before LSE, he worked as a Scientific Research Associate at ETH. David's research focuses on organizational economics, political economy, and innovation.
Juan Bautista Sosa
Juan Bautista is an MA Economics graduate from Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA) and an MSc candidate in Statistics from the London School of Economics and Politcal Science (LSE). He currently works at the AEAI Lab in LSE’s Centre for Economic Performance (CEP). His previous work has involved online machine learning, spatial econometrics and satellite image classification.
Suraj Rajesh
Suraj is a recent graduate with a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick and an incoming MPhil student at the University of Cambridge, where he plans to further his research interests. He has previously gained research experience in the fields of environmental economics and political economy, working alongside Professor Thiemo Fetzer and Professor Ludovica Gazze.
Tongmeng "Tommy" Xie
Tommy is a UCL graduate with a Master's in Urban Spatial Science Data Science. He approaches data-driven analytics through the lens of spatial data science and quantitative modeling. His technical arsenal includes proficiency in data lifecycle management, evolving LLM landscapes (RAG & LangChain), and programming languages such as Python, and SQL.
