The AI-generated Production Network (AIPNET) aims to enhance our understanding of international trade and economic structures by mapping the relationships between products in the global economy. Using generative AI technology, we’ve developed a network of over 5,000 products connected by their input-output relationships in the production process.

This project quantifies the dramatic changes in work arrangements catalysed by the pandemic. By leveraging advanced AI language processing techniques and analyzing over 250 million job postings across five English-speaking countries, we provide high-accuracy, detailed insights into the evolving landscape of remote and hybrid work opportunities in the modern economy.

Machinery of Progress

The aim of the Machinery of Progress (MoP) project is to bring measurement of capital equipment into the 21st century. By utilising novel AI tools, along with big data from administrative archives, we produce a high-frequency and highly-detailed measurement of investment and capital equipment powering the modern economy.

Bad Bank, Bad Luck

We deploy Big Data and Large Language Model (LLM) tools to digitise and standardize over 40 million archival loan documents containing detailed information on lending relationships between small-to-midsize firms and their creditors in the United States.

Brexit Costs

This project assesses the local and national economic consequences of the UK's departure from the European Union. By employing synthetic control methods and analysing comprehensive electoral and survey data,  this project provides nuanced insights into the regional economic shifts, changes in inequality, and evolving political landscape resulting from Brexit in the United Kingdom.
